Black History Month at Learning Resources, Hialeah Campus: Home

#AfricanAmericanHistoryMonth or #BlackHistoryMonth honors the vast and varied accomplishments of Black Americans throughout history.

MDC Hialeah Campus, Learning Resources honors Black History Month throughout the month of February. Visit room 1400 to view posters honoring notable activists, artists, politicians, and athletes from the Black community and browse our library display featuring notable African-American artists and their albums highlighting the connection to literature and films within the themes of feminism, racism, and sexuality. The collection on display will feature authors and filmmakers Terry McMillian, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Bell Hooks, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Raoul Peck, Vershawn Ashanti Young and many more.

Black Heritage Month: African-Americans in Times of War

Miami Dade College is participating in this year's National Black History Month Theme: "African-Americans in Times of War" with events throughout the college and the month of February.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. The Museum’s nearly 40,000 objects help all Americans see how their stories, their histories, and their cultures are shaped by A People’s Journey and A Nation’s Story.
