It Get's Better Project

The It Gets Better Project   exists to uplift, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ youth around the globe. Growing up isn’t easy, especially when you are trying to affirm and assert your sexual orientation and/or gender identity. It can be a challenging and isolating process – but, the good news is, no one has to do it alone. True Colors United is committed to changing that.

Are you Male or Female? For the four fearless young transgender adults featured in the film this is not a simple question. These four defy societal norms to be their true selves and become more visible. No transition is easy, but for some it is easier than for others. BECOMING MORE VISIBLE shines a humanizing light on their different stories, both their struggles and their triumphs, and showcases the importance of having a steady support system. The film also briefly goes over the physical process some of them decide to take in transitioning.

Jóvenes LGBTQ
Los grupos de jóvenes lesbianas, homosexuales, transgénero o quienes cuestionan su identidad sexual (LGBTQ) o aquellos percibidos como LGBTQ tienen mayor riesgo de ser víctimas de acoso. El acoso pone a los jóvenes en mayor riesgo de sufrir depresión, pensamientos suicidas, abuso de drogas y alcohol, conductas sexuales riesgosas y problemas académicos. Para los jóvenes LGBTQ, ese riesgo es incluso mayor.
