Poetry at Padron: Word Warehouse Series

Word Warehouse Series

Welcome to the Word Warehouse!  Our very own house of words!

Who we are?

The Word Warehouse is a palace of creativity, where multi-platform genres come to together to collaborate and to help each other's work grow. We will have monthly critique groups in the Learning Commons. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to share their pieces. Constructive suggestions will be offered. We will also have generative writing prompts to help grow our writers' portfolio.

The goal is to meet together, to encourage each other, and to have a dedicated time for writing. Let Padrón Campus be a place for creativity!

Word Gumbo

This workshop introduces participants into the wonderful world of poetry. It combines multimedia elements of collaging and poetry to create new pieces. Working as a team, we will repurpose old magazines, newspapers etc. to make a group poem. We will also read poems to get us inspired.

Letter Poems

This workshop combines the elements of  epistolary writing (letter writing) and poetry. Participants will write poems in the form of letters. They will read and enjoy great examples of epistolary poems.
