Celebrate Will Eisner Week
March 1 - 7, 2023

Will Eisner Week is an annual celebration honoring the legacy of Will Eisner, champion of the graphic novel. This international event is dedicated to promoting graphic novel literacy, free speech, and the sequential arts. The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards recognize creative achievement in American comic books and are presented annually at the San Diego Comic Con.

Stop by the Hialeah, Kendall, or Wolfson Campus Libraries during Will Eisner Week to view a display of Eisner Award winning graphic novels as well as books about Will Eisner himself. Or, browse this featured selection of Eisner Award winners that you can find in the MDC Libraries or in our OverDrive ebook collection.

The Will Eisner Graphic Novel Grant for Libraries is awarded each year to three libraries in North America, and this year we're one of them! To learn about our grant-funded activities, visit Body Image in Graphic Literature.
