Abstract
This project aims to illustrate the role of the humanities in communicating science and activism. In particular, it explores how media such as film, art, and poetry are needed to not only raise awareness of, but also sustain interest in social justice issues. Ultimately, the goal is to explore how science, as well as concepts such as “justice” and “injustice,” can be better communicated with some import from the humanities. In this way, we may truly reach an audience for the purpose of conscious raising and inspiring activism.
