I hold a Bachelor's in Biochemistry from the University of Havana, a Master's from the Autonomous National University of Mexico, and a Doctorate from the Florida State University. Currently, I am an assistant professor of Biology at the Hialeah campus. I am very passionate about opening my students' eyes to all the environmental issues we face and adopting more sustainable practices in our society.

I am a Learning Resources Professional for Miami Dade College, Learning Resources, at the Hialeah Campus. I received my bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Florida Atlantic University and hold a Master of Arts Degree in Library Information Science from Florida State University. Prior to joining Miami Dade College in 2016, I worked for the Hialeah Public Libraries, first as Collection Development Librarian and later as Library Services Supervisor. In addition to my current position, I have also served as an instructor of Intro to Online Research.

I am the Hialeah Campus Director for the Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy (iCED). I attended USF for my undergraduate degrees, and completed my Masters in Public Administration (MPA) at UWF. I am passionate about engaging our students in ways for them to be changemakers by utilizing our MDC Changemaking attributes: Empathy, Reflection, Resilience and Action.

I serve as the associate director of Learning Resources at Miami Dade College, Hialeah Campus which oversees the Library and all of the Academic Labs. I am also an adjunct professor of First-Year Seminars and Experiences. I earned her master’s degree in higher education administration at Florida International University and hold a bachelor’s degree in communication from Mississippi State University. I co-lead the Peer Mentor Task Force at my campus and am also the recipient of the Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy Adjunct Faculty Member of the Year.

I am a Senior Academic and Career Advisor. I currently hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Liberty University and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I firmly believe in the collaborative process and believe that together we can lead the charge to affect change for critical social issues on our campus.

As Director of Access Services, I am responsible for the overall operation and management of ACCESS (Disability Services), including hiring, supervising, and evaluating personnel; preparing and maintaining budgets, and overseeing the provision of auxiliary aids, services, and program modifications for students with disabilities. I lead campus initiatives that promote awareness of disability issues, accessibility, and inclusion as well as provide technical assistance to all campus divisions in complying with applicable county, state, and federal laws.

Eric Terry

I joined the faculty of Miami-Dade College in the fall of 2016 as a professor of business management.  Prior to my appointment at Miami Dade College, I spent three years at Keiser University as a Business Program Director and faculty member for both undergraduate and graduate students. I hold a doctoral degree in Business Administration-Management from Northcentral University in Arizona, a Master of Arts in Business Administration from Regis University in Colorado, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Northwood University in Michigan.

I am also credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care and have a license to practice as a respiratory therapy practitioner in the states of Florida, Texas, New York, and Iowa. I hold a certification in Six Sigma and an ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate.
