Part-Time Employee Performance Standards

All part-time employees must carefully review these rules before starting work. By working at the college, you are expected to follow these standards at all times. Please read them thoroughly and ask your supervisor if you have questions.

General Work Rules


  • Work no more than 25 hours per week.

  • Be punctual and notify your supervisor if you will be absent or late.

  • Stay in your assigned work area unless given permission to leave.

  • Follow all safety rules and report injuries immediately.

  • Maintain appropriate dress, grooming, and cleanliness.

  • Take proper care of College property and equipment.

Conduct Expectations


  • Be courteous and respectful to students, staff, and the public.

  • No smoking or vaping on campus except in authorized areas.

  • No soliciting, posting notices, or distributing materials without approval.

  • Do not make personal long-distance calls on College phones.

  • Avoid any conduct that disrupts College operations.

Serious Offenses (may lead to immediate termination)


  • Theft or unauthorized removal of College property.

  • Violence, threats, or fighting on College premises.

  • Insubordination – refusing to follow work directions.

  • Sleeping during work hours.

  • Gambling or possession of alcohol/illegal drugs on campus.

  • Unauthorized duplication or loaning of keys or access cards.

  • Possession of firearms or weapons without a valid permit.

  • Falsification of records, timesheets, or computer data.

  • Improper personal use of College property or position (conflict of interest).
