Nested among a mini Pine Rockland ecosystem with local indigenous vegetation one finds the Padrón Campus Little Free Library. Among pines, saw palmetto, and sable palms, all book lovers in the community have the opportunity to find a good book to take home for free. Return the book when you are done, or place one you already read in the blue box for others to enjoy. Take some time to sit on the limestone bench and breath and read under the pine canopy. You may even see a zebra long-wing butterfly (state insect) curiously flying near you.
The Little Free Library is for the entire local community to enjoy. It was established by Dr. José Sebastián Terneus and the Communications, Arts, and Philosophy Department at the Padrón Campus. It is managed by Learning Resources and the Earth Ethics Institute at Padron Campus.
