Book a Study Room

You can reserve a study space in-person or through our scheduling platform WCOnline. Check out our 2-2-2-2- guidelines for more information. If you need assistance reserving a room, visit the Main Help Desks on the first or second floor or call (305) 237-2502.  

Study Room Guidelines & Expectations for Use
  1. Study rooms are by appointment only and require an MDC ID.  

  1. Students cannot book back-to-back appointments for study rooms. Please see the front desk for specific requests.  

  1. No food is allowed in the study rooms. Only covered drinks (water bottles, coffee) are allowed. 

  1. If you are 15 minutes late, your reservation can be subject to cancellation based on needs. 

  1. Lights must always remain on.  

  1. No smoking or vaping is allowed on campus.  

  1. Students who reserve a study room are responsible for any damage to the room, equipment, or furniture. Drawing on walls or tables is not allowed.  

  1. Study rooms are for studying and doing academic work. If the noise level* is too loud and complaints are received, you can be asked to find alternate study spaces.  

  1. Study rooms close 30 minutes prior to the Learning Resources closing time.  

  1. Learning Resources is not responsible for unattended, lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.  

  1. Please clean the space before leaving.  

  1. We use a 2-2-2-2 model which means:  

 Only 2 students are allowed in the study room 

Maximum length of reservation is 2 hours 

You can make 2 reservations a week  

You can reserve your room 2 weeks in advance 

  1. Please be courteous and respect the staff when they enforce the room guidelines.  

  1. Disputes about room use will be referred to Public Safety. 

  1. If you repeatedly fail to follow these guidelines, your ability to reserve study spaces can be limited or revoked in the Learning Commons.
