Miami Dade College Open Door Grant Program: Home

Miami Dade College is excited to partner with the Florida Department of Education to offer qualified students a maximum award equal to the amount needed to cover 100% of tuition and fees for students enrolled in an eligible workforce program, that lead to industry certification.

The Open Door Grant Program was established to better supply the workforce with needed skills and training, provide financial assistance to support student completion, and increase the interest in high-demand career and technical education credentialing and certificate programs.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently, resides in the state of Florida
  • Enrolled in an eligible workforce program at Miami Dade College.
  • Students enrolled in a credit or clock hour program must complete the certification form issued by the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Students enrolled in a noncredit program must complete the application issued by Department of Continuing Education Professional Development.
