Belkis Cabrera, Grant Director of WeLearn366 Institute, Padrón Campus

Does your Blackboard shell feel like a shell of your face-to-face class? Are you struggling to create an engaged and engaging learning environment? Do you feel disconnected from your students? Now more than ever, we need and crave connectivity, collaboration, and community. Luckily, there are a few team communication applications that are transforming sterile digital spaces and interactions into lively teaching and learning hubs. In this session, we will explore how educators can benefit from incorporating Slack into their curriculum. Slack is a cloud-based, intuitive, flexible instant messaging tool that allows educators and students to escape the confines of their learning management system. So, if you are longing for better quality communication and diverse forms of participation, maybe it's time to start Slack-ing.
