Faculty members can seek grants by (1) requesting from the director of Resource Development to be included on the Resource Development listserv to receive announcements of funding opportunities identified and vetted by Resource Development, (2) requesting from the director of Resource Development that a search be conducted for a particular funding need, and (3) searching for grants online, mainly at governmental and foundation/corporate websites. MDC requires that, once a grant opportunity has been identified, Resource Development be notified quickly to determine next steps. Visit Resource Development to learn about trainings, such as Grants 101 and the Resource Development Internship. In addition, seek out your campus-based Resource Development Committee, to learn about strategic grant opportunities.
