Protocols for Learning Commons Space Reservation Requests

Events in the Learning Commons must further the purpose of the Learning Commons - to support student academic success and engagement. Because the Learning Commons functions as an open, collaborative study space for students, reservation requests are evaluated based on the time of the semester and the number of existing reservations.

  1. All requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the reservation date.
  2. A maximum of two events per semester, per host will be considered.
  3. Requests must be submitted through the Space Reservation online form.
  4. Additional information about your request may be required. A library staff member will contact you with any follow-up questions.
  5. You are responsible for the setup and cleanup of the reserved Learning Commons space, as well as for submitting any necessary campus work requests (e.g., furniture, media technology, or marketing support).
  6. After your event, you may be asked to complete a brief follow-up assessment survey.
  7. You may be asked to include Learning Resources branding on any publicity materials or signage created for your event.
