MIFA 2022 Opening Ceremony

Opening ceremonies will kick off the festival!  Featured highlights include the AXIS Magazine Cover Winner announcement, the Virtual Student Art Exhibit introduction, and the 2023 MIFA Poster Winner unveiling, audio recording of the Student Music Composition Winner, and the evening’s main event: ACCENTS, a poetry and spoken word jam of poetic masterpieces.

Emerging Artists Virtual Exhibit 2022 (Virtual)

This virtual exhibit shows off the best works of North Campus Visual Arts students and will be featured throughout the week.

The Pen Players Improv Troupe

Join us for a hilariously good time as The Pen Players tickle your funny bone with fun and interactive improv games.  Also, enjoy a special performance of Lin Manuel Miranda’s 15-minute musical, 21 Chump Street!

Organ Recital

Pictures at an Exhibition Reimagined: Dr. Robert Remek will present an organ recital featuring a transcription of Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Student artworks inspired by the music will also be featured.

Concert under the Stars

The MDC Film Scoring Orchestra and members of the South Florida Youth Symphony will present a program of symphonic works by various classical composers with featured solo performances by Professors Claudio Osorio, Angel Hernandez, and Ana Rodriguez.
