April 7-13, 2024 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the essential role libraries, librarians and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities.

National Library Week: Ready Set Dance

Miami Dade College’s Learning Resources Department will once again celebrate National Library Week, April 7 - 13 with various events at all eight MDC campuses.

During the week-long celebration, MDC libraries will share pictures and stories, through social media, from our students, faculty, and staff describing how libraries and/or their staff have impacted them.

This LibGuide provides a list of MDC’s National Library Week events and resources for students, faculty, and staff. Event descriptions and information on how to join are below. To join virtual events click on the event title to join on the specified date and time. On-campus events have detailed location information listed after the event descriptions.

Taylor Swift Bingo Reading Challenge

Taylor Swift’s got everybody reading in 2024. Join the challenge and complete as many boxes as possible in a week. If you fill 5 in the same row, you win the bingo challenge! If you fill more boxes, you are an amazing reader! Don’t forget to check Libby and our physical library at Learning Resources for the perfect book to complete the challenge. Pickup your Bingo card at the library today! Challenge lasts from April 1st - April 25th.
