Founded in 2004 at the Hialeah Campus

Started in 2006 at the Padrón Campus
Vision: The AAPI Heritage Committee at the Padrón Campus celebrates the contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders by collaborating with community partners and hosting lectures, workshops, art exhibitions, and artistic performances at MDC.
Community Partners: Asian American Advisory Board of Miami Dade County, COSMOS (Coalition of South Florida Muslim Organizations), Performing Arts of India, the Hindu American Foundation (HAF), the Miami Association of Indian Americans for Culture and Arts (MAIACA), Ichimura-Miami Gardens, Ikebana International Miami, Consulate-General of Japan in Miami, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Miami, among others.
