Testing Department

Testing & Assessment
Miami Dade College provides assessment, proctoring and student feedback services to all students, including those with special needs, as well as faculty, staff, the local community, educational institutions, and businesses around the area.
Civic Literacy Competency Test
Check with your advisor to see if you need to take the Civic Literacy Competency test to graduate.

Foreign Language Competency and Equivalence

Beginning with students initially entering a Florida College System institution or state university in 2014-2015 and thereafter, coursework for an associate in arts degree shall include demonstration of competency in a foreign language pursuant to s. 1007.262, Florida Statutes.

An EAP student who has successfully satisfied the Level 6 MDC EAP (English for Academic Purposes) program requirements by courses or placement test has met the foreign language competency, or see other options.

2025 SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM
The STEM Summer Bridge Program is free of charge and is designed to help and guide first time in college students (or students transitioning to college) to successful completion of a STEM degree. This Program aims to help students reinforce the skills needed to succeed in their first postsecondary mathematics and chemistry courses. Participants will also attend workshops related to academic advisement, career planning, transfer preparedness, and financial literacy.
