TRIO Student Support Services - Homestead Campus

For TRIO Students we have the SAEOPP Academic and Survivor Scholarship Competitions. The Academic Scholarship is given to those Pre-College and Adult Learner participants who display outstanding academics and community service within their education career. The Survivor Scholarship is designed for students who have overcome major challenges and obstacles to persevere academically.

Two pre-collegiate, two adult traditional, and two adult non-traditional (six in total) scholarships are awarded annually. Each Florida TRIO Scholarship is awarded in the amount of $500.

The MDC Board of Trustees scholarship is awarded to students who are graduating with an Associate's Degree and planning on pursuing a Bachelor's Degree. The scholarship is valued at $5,000. Eight students are selected to receive the award - one from each campus.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is dedicated to advancing the education of exceptionally promising students who have financial need.

Through rent-free housing and cooperative living, Southern Scholarship Foundation supports students who lack financial resources, demonstrate excellent academic merit, and exemplify good character attend institutions of higher education.

The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity.
