Hialeah Campus Model

  • Items are cataloged under a GAME collection in Alma and shelved together in a gaming section
  • Call numbers are done as follows:
  • The Witcher PS4 game = GAME [PS4] WITCH
    • Shelving location = GAME
    • Call number prefix indicates system = [PS4]
    • Classification part is the title = WITCH
  • Video Game System/Console – 2 hour loan within the Library
    • Hialeah LR has a Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Wii)
    • Students must reserve a study room and use the Xbox One and Wii consoles there, the Nintendo Switch is more versatile and can be played using the handheld option so a study room isn’t necessary, they can use it anywhere in Learning Resources
  • Video games – 7 day loan period (material type = DVD or game in the case of the Switch cartridge)
  • Board games – 7 day loan period (material type = game)
  • Role playing games and manuals – 7 day loan period (material type = typically book)
