Training

  • MDC tutor training library guide 

    • Under “New Hire Trainings” then “Tutor L ingo,” create and account with TutorLingo and complete the 4 video lessons on the page: The Role of the Tutor, Learning Theory, Tutee Study Skills, and Critical Thinking Skills

    • Under “Subject Specific Training” tab, complete the How to Tutor Writing video lesson.

Forms

Forms to be completed by PWM Interns:  

  • Intern Application and Guidelines - to be reviewed and completed by the intern at the beginning of the term or assignment. 
  • Internship Acceptance Form - to be completed by the intern and approved by the faculty supervisor at the beginning of the term or assignment. 
  • Bi-weekly Reporting Form - to be initiated by the intern (typically at the end of each two-week pay period) and subsequently approved by the faculty supervisor by email.  (Please check junk mail, as the approval email is generated by Qualtrics.) 
  • Peer Writing Mentor - Class Pre-Survey - Anonymous survey to be completed near the beginning of the term by students within the ENC1101 classes served by the PWMs
  • Peer Writing Mentor - Class Post-Survey - Anonymous survey to be completed near the end of the term by students within the ENC1101 classes served by the PWMs
