Chicago Style Guide

CMOS (Chicago Manual of Style) is a set of guidelines to properly write, cite, and format papers.

This guide contains information on CMOS 17th edition citation style including:

  • how to cite sources for the Bibliography page at the end of your paper
  • how to do footnotes within the body of your work
  • sample research papers and Microsoft Word templates
  • additional resources (books, websites, citation generators)
  • information on writing tutors

Consult the Chicago Manual of Style for detailed standards and guidelines. Feel free to reach out to the MDC librarians for assistance.
