Using the MDC Databases

Conducting a Library Search at MDC

  1. Go to https://www.mdc.edu/learning-resources/ or click on the picture above to access the link.
  2. Click on Advanced Library Search.
  3. On the right, you can narrow the Material Type to Books, Journals, Videos or other media.
  4. Type your keyword(s) in the empty box(es).  Keep the terms brief.  Advanced Search allows you to input multiple keywords.
  5. Click on Search.
  6. Write down the Call Number (e.g. JK1021.C565 2008) to find a book in the library.  For an eBook or journal article, click View Online and log in with your MDC username and password to access the material.
  7. You can also access LibGuides and databases from the Learning Resources page.
