Sarah Jacob, Ph.D. in philosophy
Sarah Jacob is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at MDC, teaching courses in philosophy and ethics, including AI and Eastern Philosophy. Since 2017, she has served as a Humanities Edge lead faculty curating humanities programming. She is a certified instructor for the Earth Ethics Institute and Honors College and is a recipient of MDC’s iCED Changemaking Award 2021, Fulbright-Hays scholarship 2024,President’s Innovation Fund for AI 2024/25, and The Great Questions Fellowship, 2024-2025. Sarah is committed to curating transformative pedagogical experiences for her students that combines multiple perspectives, her knowledge of AI, and her passion for the humanities. She holds a BA in philosophy and an MA in liberal studies from Florida International University, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of South Florida. Her first book, Nietzsche and Buddhism, will be published by Bloomsbury in 2025.
