Bio & Headshot Guidelines
The student and faculty bios and headshots will be displayed on this LibGuide. Both should be professional so that you can reference your program work on your resume, applications, and other relevant venues. We created this simple guideline to help you with both the bio and headshot and to help maintain consistency across the LibGuide.
In your HE-URP bio, you should present yourself professionally to the community. Your bio should include your:

Your headshot should be clear and should demonstrate you as a professional in the field. Here
are a few guidelines to help you obtain and submit a high-quality, professional headshot using a
cell phone.

Abstract
The body of this abstract sample template contains important instructions that MUST be followed. Note the formatting above, including bold, spacing, sentence case and underlining. Your abstract (which is a summary of your project) goes here and should be no longer than 250 words. This document is single spaced and formatted in 12-point Arial font. The paragraph should be justified. Faculty mentors must review and approve this abstract prior to submission. The abstract should be submitted as one document, in MS Word format. Use this format if you and your mentor are from the same campus.

Poster Template
Open template in Canva, select File and Make a Copy to begin working on your poster's draft. Students can use the dark image for the digital posters. Students should submit the visual by downloading their Canva poster as a PPTX file and a JPG file. Submit both files.
Slideshow Guidelines
Your presentation is only 5 minutes long. Keep your slideshow short and simple. Create about 6 slides for your presentation. You can use the following slideshow list as a guideline and adjust the slides as needed.
Suggested platforms to use for the slideshow: Canva, Google Slides, and PowerPoint.
