Women's History Month Celebration Opening Event: Walk in Her Shoes Join us for an event discussing gender stereotypes, bias, expectations, identity, and sexual violence facilitated by the Hialeah Campus Citrus Counselor, Gabe Lamas. Take the first steps toward actively working to deconstruct patriarchy and toxic masculinity by joining us in playful activism as we put on heels and strut around the campus to raise awareness and support survivors of sexualized violence. All are welcome to join us in confronting gender stereotypes and bias, heels need not be worn in order to join the walk. Refreshments will be held in 5101 where our local community partner, Lotus House, will provide a closing presentation on their support services and resources available to those in need.
