Tyra Fairley (3rd Place) - Bio & Photo
Tyra Fairley is a nursing graduate of MDC Medical Campus ADN program. She previously graduated with her associates in science from Miami Dade College Honor’s College at North Campus. She was homeschooled for most of her adolescence before attending Michael M Krop Senior High School. Overall, her goal is to work in the ICU of a distinguishable hospital and become the best critical care nurse she can be. She was SGA president at the Medical Campus where she created a forum to bring positivity and create a community that supported fellow students in their scholastic endeavors throughout the pandemic. She is the director of a non-profit organization called For Autism Against Bullying that was inspired by her two autistic brothers. Caring for her brothers has helped her realize that she has a passion for people and helping them reach their full potential. Following a career in nursing was only a natural progression, and she hopes to positively impact her patients’ lives.
