Welcome to Writing prep for the PERT/ ACCUPLACER test

The Accuplacer Next-Generation exams are designed to help you to be successful at Miami Dade College.

The exam is not pass or fail. Your score on the Accuplacer provides information about your level of skills accomplishment in English, mathematics, and reading. By testing your ability levels in these areas, the Accuplacer Next-Generation test helps to determine the level of your courses in  English, mathematics, and reading that are most appropriate for you.

The Accuplacer is an adaptive test. Questions are chosen on the basis of your answers to previous questions. Because the test works this way, you should answer every question when it is first given. You cannot skip a question and come back to it later. No calculators are permitted for the mathematics section.

To help you review for the Accuplacer , the following LibGuide has websites and books with sample test questions, advice for the test, and overall look at what's on the test.
