The Youth Media Awards are children's and young adult book, media, and creator awards that are administered by the American Library Association and its affiliate library organizations.
Sponsored by the Florida Department of Education, the Sunshine State Young Reader Awards are given for books appropriate for Florida students in grades 3-5 (Elementary School Award) and 6-8 (Middle School Award) written by a North American author.
The Children’s Book Award was created by the Florida Literacy Association (FLA) to create a love for reading in the elementary grades throughout all counties in the state of Florida. Lesson plans and resources are also written to help teachers discuss the books with students and teach specific content and skills as required by Florida State Statutes.
