CTE Programs

Career and Technical Education Programs offer flexible pathways to success and career advancement. See programs below. For more information visit Workforce Programs and Professional Learning.

CTE Certificate Programs

MDC's Career and Technical Education Programs provide opportunities to gain credentials and industry certification in targeted industries. An industry certification is a credential that you earn to show that you have specific skills or knowledge. Industry certification is advantageous to people who are seeking employment, maintaining their current careers, or preparing to advance in their field.

CTE Certificate Programs include:

Career Certificates: Focused on preparation for immediate job entry. Programs can be completed in as little as 16 weeks.

College Credit Certificate: Completion of these programs requires fewer credits than an Associate of Science degree. Courses are certified by the Florida Department of Education to provide specific competencies in select industries. Over 80 programs currently available and credits earned can apply toward a related Associate in Science degree.

Advanced Technical Certificate: For students who have already earned an Associate of Science Degree and are seeking to advance their skills. Courses are taught at an advanced level and can be completed at various campuses

CareerLink

The CareerLink Pre-Apprenticeship Program is designed to prepare high school students and adults to succeed in any entry level occupation. By providing work-based learning, employability skills, and free tuition, this program plays a vital role in the career pathway to future employment.
