Open Educational Resources (OER)

Open Educational Resources (OER) are any type of educational material freely available for teachers and students to use, adapt, share, and reuse. They are free or low-cost and available online for easy and immediate access. 

Textbook costs have a negative impact on student success. OER can be a solution to this problem.

OER include digital learning materials such as:

  • open textbooks
  • full courses and lesson plans
  • modules and videos
  • syllabi
  • homework assignments and assessments
  • lab activities and simulations
  • games
