Acknowledgment of Faculty Mentors
Celebrating the dedication and guidance that empower our students’ success
The achievements we celebrate at this year’s Symposium are made possible by the commitment of our faculty mentors. Colleagues from Miami Dade College, together with our partners at Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, Nova Southeastern University, St. Thomas University, the University of Florida, the University of Miami, and Applied Biotech, Inc., have once again shared their time, expertise, and energy to guide our students through the research process.
Your mentorship extends far beyond the classroom or laboratory. You encourage curiosity, cultivate resilience, and help students see themselves as contributors to their fields. Since the program’s beginning, more than one thousand students have engaged in authentic undergraduate research because of your guidance. These experiences have strengthened their skills, deepened their sense of purpose, and prepared them for graduate study and professional opportunities in STEM and the humanities.
On behalf of the School of Science, the Humanities Edge and Engine of Progress grants, and the Excellence Across the Curriculum Committee, we offer our sincere thanks. Your investment of time and care leaves a lasting imprint on our students, our institution, and the future of research.
