Bryan Aguilar recently completed his B.S. in Data Analytics at Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus, and has since begun his Master’s in Data Science at the University of Miami. Before transitioning to STEM, Bryan completed both a B.A. in Music and an M.F.A. in Poetry at UM. He hopes to use his recently discovered love for machine learning and research to engage with his artistic passions while pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science.

Raul Alarcon-Gomez is a third-year college student finishing his Associate’s in Arts at Miami-Dade College to continue his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. Raul is an enthusiastic and focused individual who looks forward to challenges in life as he knows that hard work is privilege, and he enjoys learning new things. Some of his accomplishments include participating in research as this will be his second time attending a research symposium. His future goals include working in a lab as a biomedical engineer and to expand his knowledge in the field of engineering.

Nora Alexandra Bitar is a very enthusiastic, creative, and hard-working third year pre-dental student on track to achieve her B.S. in Nutrition Science. She would like to ultimately achieve her dream of becoming a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She is motivated to constantly learn and develop her skills to grow personally and academically everyday and that is why she is enrolled in organizations at the West Campus like the Shark Start Program. In this program, she helps incoming and current students. She also serves on the executive board for PTK. She has been a Dental Assistant since High School, loves music, and books. The thing she loves the most apart from her passion in Dentistry are movies. She considers herself a cinephile because she can tell you a lot of facts about all genres of movies.

Alejandro Izcaray is a second-year Computer Science student at Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Izcaray always showed a high level of interest and proficiency in academics. It later developed into a passion for technology and innovation. Izcaray is a board member for Florida Engineering Society, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and is a member of the Honors College. In the future, Izcaray hopes to fulfill both his creative and analytical sides using technology, and ultimately leave the world a better place than how he found it. Fermin Lopez is a third-year student in Miami, FL, majoring in computer science. The majority of his time is spent studying curricular material and learning how to improve his programming skills. Fermin’s long term career goal is to become a software engineer and develop applications that impact people’s lives. Jose Mendez is a student at Georgia Institute of Technology working toward his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He is also working as a Software Developer for a local company in Miami. His goals include becoming a Software Engineer at a top company in the future.

Maryann Musa Luciene Oyola Rodriguez Yanet Rodriguez Angeri
Maryann Musa was born in Miami, however, she spent her childhood in Venezuela. She came back to the United States in 2016 and discovered her passion for science. She is currently a second-year student at Miami Dade College and is majoring in Biotechnology with a Chemistry focus. Luciene Oyola Rodriguez is a second-year student at Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus. Her activities involve running and reading suspense novels in her free time. In terms of her future career goals, she is planning to pursue Aerospace Engineering and work at NASA as a propulsion engineer. Yanet Rodriguez Angeri is from Miami Dade County and her major is Computer Information Technology. She earned her A,S, on July 30, 2022. She received the award of the highest honor.  She is a student ambassador for the Woman Rise Club. Her plan is to acquire her bachelor's degree at MDC, and get involved as much as she can.

Sofia Rosenblatt Jason Stuckert Decoda Williams
Sofia Rosenblatt is pursuing an Associate of Science degree in Computer Programming and Analysis at Miami Dade College. She recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Technology; however, she has a great interest in computer science and wishes to pursue a master’s degree in the upcoming years. To delve deeper into the field of computer science, Sofia has participated in many activities possible through MDC, such as honors projects, research, and the Women in Tech Club. In the future, Sofia wishes to merge her two disciplines and become an expert in audio programming and audio-focused machine learning. Jason Stuckert is currently a third-year student attending the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering to continue his work with his current internship. He is working for EXP U.S. Services Inc. as a Water/Wastewater Intern, and plans to continue this career path as a full-time employee once he receives his bachelor’s degree. Decoda Williams is currently in his third  year in the data analytics program. In his free time, he enjoys attending car shows and motorsport events. Decoda plans to work in the automotive & transportation industry as a Machine / AI engineer.
