Welcome, Scholastic Sharks!

This program will engage students in a myriad of individualized learning opportunities in reading, writing, grammar, research, and technology through workshops and one-on-one tutoring. The activities we are inviting you to participate in were designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of important skills needed to succeed in reading- and writing-intensive courses, such as ENC 1101, ENC 1102, and SPC 1017.

Scholastic Sharks are asked to:

  • attend 1 orientation at the Reading & Writing Center
  • attend 1 orientation at Learning Resources
  • attend 6 workshops (one in each category)
  • attend 3 tutoring sessions

Learn more about each aspect of the program by using the navigation pane or by clicking below.

If you have any questions, please contact us at one of the phone numbers listed under the Reading & Writing Center or Learning Resources contact information.

The Scholastic Sharks LibGuide originated as a collaboration with Giselda Aguiar and Dr. Daphene Watson from the Reading & Writing Center at Wolfson Campus and Teresita Martinez and Patrick Henry from Learning Resources at the Wolfson Campus.
