Writing is an important form of communication both in college and beyond. During their time in college, students write dozens and even hundreds of pages from literary analyses to lab reports and from research papers to speeches. To help students in their journey through writing, the Reading & Writing Center will facilitate writing workshops so students may learn and practice writing for college.

Structuring an essay and developing paragraphs can be a difficult and confusing task. In this workshop, learn the different parts that make up an essay, essential ingredients of a paragraph, and how it all works together to make a cohesive message. Learn to manage supporting details to develop consistent style and easy-to-follow organization as well as how to use transitions logically.
