We are excited to extend a heartfelt welcome to The Humanities Edge Faculty Seminar, a fully online, asynchronous professional development experience based on the lessons learned through our work at MDC over the last few years.
The Humanities Edge is proud to serve as a dynamic platform where knowledge meets innovation as inspired and advanced by our dedicated faculty across seven campuses, with the support of the Mellon Foundation. Through the opportunities offered via The Humanities Edge, our faculty members have implemented different high-impact practices for their humanities students, many of which are features in this asynchronous faculty seminar.
This asynchronous seminar allows you to attend all the seminar sessions at your convenience and to complete each session at your own pace. To start the Faculty Seminar, watch the welcome message from program director Kirk Paskal and then learn about our students' experiences in The Humanities Edge Student Perspectives video. Then select any of the sessions listed below. Each session includes a recording from the presenter and additional resources. We hope that you are able to leave each session with at least one takeaway for your own classes and students.
