Voiceless Choir - A Call for All by Claudia Oliver

Abstract

Poetry has always been an ideal conduit through which many have found their voices while silenced by the society around them. It creates a portal into the depths of the human experience, whether through joy or pain or resilience. This collection of poems is a somber meditation on the widespread violence and discrimination afflicting our society as a whole and each of us as individuals. Beyond exposition, this work seeks to reveal the intertwined nature of suffering across various groups – racism, women’s rights, identity. My poems pay homage to the voiceless, and calls out for awareness, addressing, and healing.
