"The Impact of the Clothing Industry on the Environment"
Course: EAP 1686 - Advanced Reading and Speech 2
Instructor: Helen Roland
Environmental contamination is a significant problem in the time we live in. The textile industry is one of the main causes of pollution in the environment. Studies are currently being conducted to develop new materials to minimize these harms. A team of designers is working on methods for creating fabrics that are less harmful to the environment, require less water and pesticides, and don't contaminate washing machines with plastic microfiber. Some materials currently being studied are Pinatex, MycoTEX, and Eucalyptus Yarn.
