Plasticide, explores the significance of plastic waste in our ocean and environment. Single use plastic is used one time and then thrown out, never to be thought of again. Unfortunately, much of this plastic ends up into the world's oceans. Marine animals, like turtles, suffocate and suffer from our plastic waste killing over one million marine animals each year. I decided to portray a turtle tangled up in plastic in the ocean using trash I collected on the beach. I am passionate about this issue and wanted to portray it through art.
