In our experiment, we sought to test whether endophytes from Psychotria Nervosa, or wild coffee, would result in heavier salad bowl lettuce plants. One group was treated with the fungal endophytes, while another was not. After the lettuce seeds germinated and the extracted endophytes have been added to the control, the plants will be placed outside. Using endophytes as a "fertilizer" for the lettuce plant can help determine if it is a viable natural way of stimulating plant growth.
