A second-year student part of the Honors College at MDC. She is pursuing a degree in molecular biology on the pre-med track in hopes of going to medical school one day. Some of her interests include genetics and psychology, which is partly why she is interested in going into psychiatry. She currently serves as President of the Global Medical Brigades club and Treasurer of NAMI at MDC North Campus, further exploring her passion for the medical field and mental health. In her leisure time, Sofia thoroughly enjoys participating in theater and film, as well as playing piano to de-stress. This is her second semester working with the STEM Research Institute and she is excited to continue working on future research projects. |
