Tools to Form Groups

WPI: Colorful Asset Map
An Asset Map is one tool that can be used to form groups. It provides information about the strengths, experiences, and backgrounds of each member of the group.
DOPE Personality Test
The DOPE test is a personality profiling tool that helps people not only understand themselves better, it also helps to understand others.
Myers and Briggs Personality Assessment
The Myers and Briggs Personality Assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences about how people perceive the world and make decisions.
Compass Points
Similar to the Myers and Briggs Personality Assessment, Compass Points uses a set of preferences which relate not to the individual but to group behaviors.

Managing Tasks: Project Management Tools

Students can use project management tools to create, assign, and keep track of tasks. Tasks in most of these tools can be labeled assigned, in progress, or completed. This helps instructors track who is doing what (always an issue with group learning) and helps students meet deadlines.
