Equality and Rousseau's Influence on the French Revolution by Ricardo Salazar

Abstract

The French Revolution took place between 1789 and 1799. It drastically changed many aspects of French culture at the time, such as government and religion. Many new ideas appeared during this period of history which was plagued by inequality and economic instability. There were many influential thinkers during this point of history who were able to share their ideas through written works and other means. However, the most influential above all these according to multiple sources is Jean-Jacques Rousseau. In this project, I explored and summarized the life and work of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and his influence on French culture and ultimately, on the French revolution. The result is a 15-minute-long podcast that contains information gathered through thorough research.
