Abstract
From time-to-time news of major cyber attacks are published for the general public. This paper explores the interaction between corporations, government, ethics, and the wider world. Public attribution is revealing information about an attack including the status of the affected network, attackers, their methods to raise awareness and potentially stop future attacks. In my research, I present the utilitarian framework that open disclosure of investigation results is a moral good for society and the best outcome.
