  • I rated a 10 because it was a really great experience. Talking to someone else who lives in a different part of the United States.  I loved hearing from a different point of perspective.

  • A great experience that allowed me to get to know other people’s opinions and dialogue with them being respectful and attentive

  • I choose 10 because I was not expecting to connect with her as I did

  • An amazing and enlightening experience

  • The idea of conversation across political spectrum while being civil is a something we should all strive for.

  • I believe in communication for mutual understanding. I think this is a great experience that is having a positive impact in the world; two people at a time. I would love to do this every week. It gives everyone an opportunity to be heard. It seems like the true definition of democracy.

  • Emma was an amazing person. We shared many opinions and ideas but what I liked the most when talking to her was that when I had a different opinion, she would respect it and we could argue our points respectfully.

  • I got to learn that sometimes my ideas are not far off of the norm, but also accepting and respecting other people’s opinions is crucial to growing as a society.

  • It was a very peaceful environment to have discussions about our differences and similarities!

  • I agreed with Gavin in many things, not to the same extent but we were able to have a civil conversation. I was able to change his mind on some issues like trans bathrooms, and explain to him about how diversity and experiencing new types of people can make a difference in your opinions and what seems normal to you.

  • It was enlightening to see how someone from all the way in Ohio experiences politics on a day to day basis.

  • It was a great way to speak with someone who does not have the same experiences as me and hear about their experiences and why they chose the answer they did.

  • I met someone that lived in a different state, had a different age, and was part of a different race than me, but we still had very similar views. It was interesting to see this.

  • Discussing political opinions with someone you don't know is a great idea, mainly because most of us do not talk about them with family or friends to avoid any controversy, but doing with someone you barely know gave me a sense of relieve. I was able to express myself without feeling like a was going to be judge.

  • I got to hear different beliefs from mine, and I actually learned something.

  • It was really cool to agree to disagree and speak on topics with someone who I would have never met before.

  • I originally thought it was going to be boring, but I ended up having a great time.

  • Loved it. It's so nice to know that there are great people in this country that share the same beliefs and even when you disagree, it's nice to know that they respect and value others.

  • I really liked the experience because Hayden and I agreed we had very similar views and opinions and then at the end we come to find out that we are opposites in parties. While him being a conservative and me being a liberal we were able to have such an informative yet great discussion on some topics that would usually cause major controversy.

  • I really thought this was going to be a scary experience, but I saw that people think differently in certain situations that allows you to understand the other side a little better.

  • I thought it was a fun experience and very informative, as well as fun.

  • Great experience, I was dreading doing this but it was very insightful

  • I think it was cool that we could talk with someone from a completely different state about political viewpoints and issues while being respectful. It was interesting to see that someone with a completely different standpoint on politics can find a common ground on topics such as gun violence and abortion.

  • Very relaxed environment, with a perfect space for discussion, the survey itself also made it easy to interact and ask questions beyond the 17 posed on the survey, you will find yourself often sidetracking and knowing more about each other

  • I loved the experience; I didn't agree with much of their stuff but I liked that we were nice to each other.
