Abstract
The purpose of this research is to give a better understanding of what is needed to help improve the enrollment, attendance, and graduation of the African American male in higher learning institutions and universities. Studies in The New York Journal of Professional Black and Small Business, revealed that African American males have continually expressed a feeling of not belonging or feeling there is not enough culturally/racially based programs with which they could relate. There have also been findings that reveal African American males are underrepresented and face social, economic, and racial challenges. Research conducted through a small group of community males from Harvard University noted they would attend college if these minor changes would happen
