Abstract
This research explores the transformation of tarot from an esoteric tool with mystical connotations to an accepted method for promoting mental health, self-awareness, and introspection in modern therapy practices. Historically associated with divination and witchcraft, tarot has evolved beyond the occult to become an asset in psychological and therapeutic practices. This shift reflects broader societal changes, the acceptance of mental illness as a legitimate health issue, and the integration of alternative, holistic approaches in treatment. The study relies on the theories of Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell as a framework for evaluating tarot. The project examines tarot from a historical perspective through images, videos, and other media.
