Abstract

Little Red Riding Hood is a common fairy tale told by many parents to their children. While this story has taught many children the importance of modern-day “stranger dangers”, there are many hidden messages regarding the relationship between grown men and unsuspecting younger girls. Younger girls can fall prey to the tainted wants of older men and it is prevalent in the relation shown between the wolf and Little Red Riding Hood. The wolf exemplifies the dangerous wants of older men which he does by getting Little Red Riding Hood to trust him. These details, alongside others, will be assessed in the analysis of Little Red Riding Hood based off of the Feminist literary theory. The analysis will look at varying aspects of the story to assess how they work with the feminist literature theory while also use these aspects to symbolize major aspects of the feminist literature theory.
