Learning Resources Department

Learning Resources at Miami Dade College provides a learning-centered environment that integrates academic support services, resources, technologies, and instruction to promote academic excellence.

Nine libraries and a number of statewide resources comprise the Learning Resources at Miami Dade College, providing a stimulating learning environment that enhances the classroom experience through a variety of services such as in-person tutoring, information literacy instruction and informative workshops. Our facilities enable students to study collaboratively as well as individually and provide access to our specialized collections of print and electronic resources.

Information literacy instruction, conducted in the library or in the classroom, helps your students formulate strategies to locate, evaluate, and apply information (Learning Outcome #4). Librarians teach research skills using both online and print resources. Each instruction is tailored to the research needs of the class.
