Reducing Food Waste

In the US, approximately 40% of all food produced is wasted -- and the "best by" labelling that we encounter can sow confusion. Look for ways to reduce food waste, including with dietary and purchasing choices and by supporting food recovery efforts. Buy less food, eat all that you buy and then compost any food waste that you can.
