Note: Due to printing deadlines, only those students who applied for graduation by the deadline of Monday, March 18, will have their names listed in the Commencement Program.
After the deadline, students may still apply for graduation in the Advisement Office located at their campus, although their names will not appear in the program.

One Blue Tassel for BAS Graduates: BAS Students regardless of their GPA receive a blue tassel in addition to the cap and gown that they receive from the bookstore.
Listed below are the criteria to graduate with honors:
Honors: Cumulative GPA of 3.50 – 3.69 *Receive a blue tassel and a blue cord
Highest Honors: Cumulative GPA of 3.70 – 4.00 *Receive a yellow tassel and a yellow cord in addition to the above.
Honors with Distinction: Cumulative GPA of 3.5 – 3.69 and 15 credits earned in honors courses (via Honors College) which are noted with an “H” on transcript. Idem.
Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Summa Cum Laude
To pick up the regalia from the department, the student must let the advisors, or the secretaries know in advance with detailed instructions and providing identification.
Graduation regalia includes the cap and gown, as well as other distinguishing hoods, stoles, tassels, and cords that denote traditions of academic achievement.

Bachelor’s degree students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and up may pick up their graduation cords and tassels, until Friday, April 21st from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at North Campus in Building 9, Room 9111. Students must have a valid MDC ID to pick up these items.
Your 2023 Commencement Ceremony will be held at loanDepot park this Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.

All North Campus students who completed their program requirements during the 2022- 2023 academic year (Fall 2022, Spring 2023, or Summer 2023) are invited to attend the 2023 Commencement Ceremony. Commencement Day is by far the most important day on the Academic Calendar. The Ceremony has been planned with great precision and creativity in an effort to truly honor and celebrate all 2022-23 graduates.
Each graduating student will be issued a cap and gown at the North Campus Student Bookstore beginning on Wednesday, April 5 – Wednesday, April 19.

Please make sure you pick up your cap and gown as there are limited quantities available! Make every attempt to arrive at the Bookstore well before the closing time on any given day listed above.
There is no cost for the cap and gown for students who have been approved for Commencement. Caps and gowns will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis until the supply is exhausted. Students may keep their cap and gown, compliments of the North Campus. A printed Commencement Program will be provided at the Commencement Ceremony.
Each graduate is allowed a maximum of six guests. Tickets for your guests are not required.
All graduates who earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher will receive special recognition as Honor Graduates. Honor students that have applied for graduation during the Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Summer 2023 terms will receive the following regalia free of charge: 3.5-3.69 GPA- Honors Tassel; 3.7-4.0 GPA- Honors Tassel & Honors Cord. All Honor students must pick up their honor regalia at the bookstore during cap and gown distribution before Commencement. Students can pick up their items from Wednesday, April 5 – Wednesday, April 19. Students must have a valid MDC ID to pick up these items.
Baccalaureate Degree students may pick up their graduation cords, tassels, and medallions at their respective departments from Monday, April 11th – Friday, April 22nd from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students must have a valid MDC ID to pick up these items.
